As soon as the code of conduct came into force, leave of government officers and employees has been halted in the state capital, now only the Collector will give permission for all types of leaves.

Every employee has been asked to stay at the headquarters and have to take permission from the collector even to go out. Offices will remain open even on public holidays.

After the implementation of the Code of Conduct, Section 144 has been imposed in Bhopal. Collector Ashish Singh issued orders on Monday. Strict action will be taken if the order is violated.

Officers and employees attached to the personal staff of the Chief Minister's residence, ministers, MPs and MLAs have been recalled.

The date of Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections has been announced. Voting will be done on November 17, while the result will be declared on December 3. In the 7 assembly constituencies of Bhopal 2086569 voters will cast their votes in the elections. There are 27000 voters who are 80 years of age or older, while there will be wheel chair arrangements at every polling station for 8000 differently abled voters.

Of the total voters in the district, there are 1074376 male voters and 1011681 female voters, 174 are third gender. Govindpura has the highest number of voters, 392905. At the same time, Bhopal South-West has the least number of voters at 231849.

Bhopal has a total of 7 constituencies namely Govindpura, Narela, Huzur, Bhopal Central, Bhopal South-West, Bhopal North and Berasia. Except Berasia assembly, all the rest are in urban limits.

Berasia has the highest number of disabled voters at 2153. Their number is 1943 in Huzur and 1474 in Narela. In the remaining assemblies their number is less than 700.
