Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Mukhya Mantri Ladli Behna Yojana has emerged as an important scheme to bring positive change in the lives of one crore 25 lakh sisters of Madhya Pradesh.
This scheme will also become a topic for research scholars. Impact assessment of the scheme will be done. The effects of the scheme will also be important from the point of view of study and research. He said that the scheme is an example of administrative efficiency and hard work of the entire staff. The efforts of the officers and staff are commendable. This initiative to benefit 1.25 crore women of the state every month is an example for other states as well. All activities right from the announcement of the scheme, to the formal launch, giving information to the eligible women through various medium, creation of motivational environment and transfer of funds through the efforts of Team Madhya Pradesh should also be documented.
Chief Minister Chouhan was discussing with the field officers regarding Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana through video conference from Samatva Bhawan at the Chief Minister’s residence today. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Women and Child Development Smt. Deepali Rastogi and other officers were present. Apart from the commissioners, Chief Minister Chouhan also discussed the preparations for fund transfer programme under the scheme with Indore, Barwani, Vidisha, Shahdol, Umaria, Bhind, Chhatarpur, Sehore, Sidhi, Chhindwara, Rewa and Morena collectors. Members of the State Cabinet also joined the meeting virtually.
Chief Minister Chouhan inquired about the preparations for the state-level fund transfer programme being held in Jabalpur under Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana On June 10. It is worth mentioning that Chief Minister Chouhan will transfer money in the accounts of the sisters on June 10 from 6 pm from Garrison Ground Jabalpur. State level programme has been finalized. This programme will be broadcasted in all the districts of the state. Instructions were given after getting information about framework of the programmes to be held at the village and ward level. Collectors informed that there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm at all places. The work of distribution of approval letters of the scheme has been done systematically. A large number of sisters participated in the Ladli Bahna Gram Sabhas' on June 8. The message of Chief Minister Chouhan was read out. There will be a display of enthusiasm and joy amidst beating of drums, fireworks, lighting of lamps in homes and distribution of sweets in the programme on june 10.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that better preparations should be made for the programme of June 10. Administrative staff of the districts deserves congratulations. People’s representatives have also played an active role in promoting the scheme and boosting the morale of the eligible sisters. The widespread participation of sisters in the gram sabhas in the state on June 8 is commendable. The programmes on June 10 should also be organized on similar lines. Where the work of giving invitation has not been completed fully, sisters' should be invited by giving yellow rice from house to house. Proper arrangements should be made for the telecast of the state level programme.
