Indian Youth Congress (IYC) and NSUI activists were detained here on Thursday for protesting against Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chhattisgarh over joblessness and cancellation of trains.
Scores of IYC and National Students Union of India (NSUI) members were marching to Kodatarai village with placards when they were detained at Gandhi Chowk, Raigarh Additional Superintendent Sanjay Mahadeva.
The activists wore black shirts and raised slogans like "Modi go back".
It was Modi’s second visit to Chhattisgarh after July.
