Union Minister of State Faggan Singh Kulaste meets Hry CM
Chandigarh: Union Minister of State for Steel and Rural Development Faggan Singh Kulaste paid a courtesy call on Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at his residence. Faggan Singh Kulaste held discussions with the Chief Minister about various public welfare schemes being run by the central and state government. During the meeting, he also discussed the Parivar Pehchan Patra scheme being implemented by the Haryana Government.
Cong extends 'Haath se Haath Jodo' campaign for 3 months
Chandigarh: Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday said that the party has decided to extend the 'Hath Se Hath Jodo' campaign for three more months, in view of the tremendous support the programme is getting in the state and it would continue into May, June and July. After presiding over the Congress Legislature Party meeting, Hooda said that all the MLAs of Haryana Congress would go to Jantar Mantar to extend support to the wrestlers on May 13. On June 4, a state-level program will be organized on the occasion of Sant Kabir Jayanti at Old ITI Ground, Rohtak. On June 18, a 'Jan Milan Samaroh' will be organized in Panipat. The eighth 'Vipak Aapke Samaksh' program will be held in Bhiwani on June 25.
Special National Lok Adalat to be held on May 13 in Chandigarh
Chandigarh: A special National Lok Adalat will be organised on May 13 at 9.30 am at District Court Complex, Sector-43, Chandigarh under the supervision of learned District & Session Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Service Authority, UT, Chandigarh. During this year 2023, approximately 312474 E-traffic challans have been issued for different violations. All those who have been issued E-challans and other traffic challans may also attend the Lok Adalat. During 2020-21 (Lockdown period) around two thousand vehicles were impounded.
Dr Bharti Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare visits PGIMER
Chandigarh: Dr Bharti Pravin Pawar, Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare who visited the PGIMER Chandigarh on Wednesday chaired a meeting with the Departmental Heads. A detailed presentation regarding the Institute was given to the Minister in the meeting. Minister appreciated the quantum of patient load handled by PGIMER. She praised the good work done by PGI with respect to the Ayushman Bharat Scheme. She reviewed the Organ Transplant Programme of PGI and appreciated the work done by the Institute. The Minister enquired about the OPD, Lab. sample collection timings and desired that the timings of the same should be increased for the benefit of the patients. Minister advised PGIMER to expedite the implementation of HIS.
Haryana National Health Mission declares result of community health officer
Chandigarh: Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that the result of Community Health Officer has been declared by the National Health Mission of Haryana. National Health Mission, Haryana advertisement was given for the recruitment of 527 Community Health Officer on December 30, 2022. For which the written examination was conducted on January 29, 2023. In which 9413 candidates had participated. A total of 1706 candidates were shortlisted for document verification, out of which 1466 candidates participated in the document verification held from February 13, 2023 to March 9, 2023.
SHO seeking Rs 40,000 bribe through tout in ACB net
Chandigarh: Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau on Wednesday caught a tout allegedly in the act of accepting a bribe of Rs 40,000 on behalf of an Inspector posted as SHO at the Badhaguda Police Station in Sirsa. Bureau’s spokesperson said that tout was identified as Sukhraj alias Raja, while the SHO was identified as Kashi Ram. Sukhraj was arrested on the complaint of Rajkumar, a resident of district Sirsa. He has taken the bribe from the complainant in lieu of not implicating him in a case.
Police crackdown in Nuh unearths Rs 100 crore pan-India cyber fraud
Chandigarh: The Haryana Police on Wednesday announced that it had cracked down on a network of cyber fraudsters in Nuh district in April, unearthing a Rs 100 crore pan-India scam where around 28,000 people have been cheated. “These scamsters cheated people across the country with fake SIM cards, Aadhaar cards etc. and used to deposit money in fake bank accounts to avoid arrest. People from Haryana to Delhi and UP to Andaman-Nicobar have been targeted…With their arrest, about 28,000 cases of cyber fraud have been traced across the country,” Nuh Superintendent of Police Varun Singla said. The crackdown began with coordinated and simultaneous raids across 14 villages in Nuh district. “On the intervening night of April 27 and 28, 102 teams of 5,000 policemen had raided 14 villages simultaneously. During this raid, around 125 suspected hackers were detained. Of these, 66 accused were identified and arrested. All were produced in the respective courts and taken on remand for 7- 11 days,” Singla explained.

HRS Commission calls for departmental action against District Municipal Commissioner, Mahendergarh
Chandigarh: Haryana Right to Service Commission being tough on senior officers of the government has called for departmental action against District Municipal Commissioner (DMC), Mahendergarh for neglecting his supervisory duties under the Haryana Right to Service Act, 2014. Secretary, Right to Service Commission Hitender Kumar informed that these cases were under the purview of notified service and should be processed within a set timeline. The Auto Appeal System (AAS) launched by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on September 1, 2021 ensures that in case of delays in delivery of citizen services, appeals are automatically raised with the Grievance Redressal Authority and subsequently to the Commission. Hitender Kumar said that the Commission received 15 appeals on AAS (Auto Appeal System) pertaining to services related to ULBs of Mahendergarh, which were showing as pending and delayed by the Designated Officers. When appeals were raised on the Auto Appeal System for the delays with DMC Mahendergarh, being the grievance redressal authority, he also failed to take any action on the same leading to escalation of the matter with the Commission. Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, the Commission issued a letter to him.
