IMD issues warning over cyclone Biparjoy effect in Bhopal

The IMD has issued alerts regarding Biparjoy, due to cyclonic storm, waves can rise several feet high in the Upper Lake and people should be banned from going near the Lake.

Strong winds due to the waves would be witnessed, fishermen were banned from going to the Upper Lake. State Lake Guard teams were on alert mode. IMD also sent an advisory related to the storm to the state government.

Met issued warning of thundery activities Bhopal, Sehore, Narmadapuram, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Chhindwara, Jabalpur, Sagar, Ratlam, Shajapur and Seoni districts while hot nights would be witnessed in Chhindwara, Chhattarpur, Tikamgarh and Umaria districts.

Very Severe Cyclonic Storm " Biparjoy  " with maximum sustained wind speed of 115-125 kmph and 140 kmph intensified as a very severe Cyclonic Storm with gusts of wind speed of 15 kmph and cross Saurashtra and Kutch and adjoining Pakistan coast between Mandvi (Gujarat) and Karachi (Pakistan) near Jakhau port (Gujarat).

Before the entry of monsoon, both day and night are heating up in Madhya Pradesh. In June, the day temperature in Khajuraho has touched 45 degrees Celsius, while Datia, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Umaria, Rewa, Nowgong and Gwalior have the hottest nights. Especially in Tikamgarh-Umaria, the temperature will be high. There is a heat wave like situation in Dhar, Balaghat and Ratlam. Hot winds are also blowing in Khajuraho and Nowgong of Chhatarpur.

Due to the scorching heat day and night, some relief is expected only after June 17, because the weather will change in Rajasthan. Its effect will also be seen in Madhya Pradesh. There will be hot weather on  June 15 and 16 as well. However, amidst the scorching heat, the weather patterns will remain changed in many cities of the state.

The cyclone 'Biparjoy', which arose in the Arabian Sea, has drawn all the moisture from the state. Due to this, the weather is clear in the state and there is effect of heat. On the other hand, Rajasthan is also hot. Because of this, hot winds are coming from there to Madhya Pradesh. The effect of heat is more in the border districts. The storm will move to Rajasthan via Pakistan. It is likely to rain there on June 16-17. Because of this, the weather will change in Madhya Pradesh as well. Warm winds will turn into cold winds. There will be some relief from the heat.

Due to lack of moisture in the air, the nights of Madhya Pradesh are also hot.
