The Chhattisgarh High Court on Monday ordered the state government to pay 50 percent of grade pay arrears as relief for not giving the benefit to 160 assistant professors.
The Bench has also sought a reply from the government within six weeks.
A total of 160 assistant professors had filed 16 petitions in this regard. They have not received their grade pay since 2012, their representative said. As per the rules of March 2010, various amounts are to be paid to assistant professors as grade pay after completion of regular service.
