Governor Mangubhai Patel participated in cleanliness activities under the “Ek Tareek, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ campaign on October 1 and offered shramdan . Governor Patel cleaned the New Market complex premises with a broom. He administered the oath of cleanliness to the people and sanitation workers present in the ‘Shramdaan for cleanliness’ programme.
Citing the example of Indore, the Governor inspired the people of Bhopal to become leaders of cleanliness in the country. New Market Vyapari Sangh and public representatives congratulated Governor Patel by presenting him a sapling and a shawl.
Governor Patel said that children should be inculcated with the culture of cleanliness. Explain the importance of always keeping your home and premises clean. Make cleanliness a habit. Inspire children to maintain cleanliness. Cleanliness campaign is not a one day campaign, we should inculcate it in our lifestyle.
Bhopal Municipal Corporation Mayor Smt. Malti Rai was present. It may be noted that from 16th to 30th September, ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ Fortnight was celebrated across the country, under which many activities based on cleanliness were organised. Under this, “Ek Tareek, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” campaign was organised under the ‘Shramdaan for cleanliness’ programme from 10 am on October 1.
