Under the joint aegis of Hazaribag College of Dental Sciences and Hospital and Bharat Tibet Maitri Sang, a free dental check-up camp was organized at Jain Bhawan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dalai Lama, a disciple of non-violence Gautam Buddha, on Thursday.Free eye check-up, blood sugar and cholesterol check-up were also done in the camp along with dental check-up.In which a total of 137 needy people took benefit and also received free consultation from the concerned dentists.The camp was led by Dr. Nishad Gawli and Dr. Somya Raj of Public Health Dentistry Department and gave necessary advice on various diseases and their treatment.During this, the doctors conducted oral health awareness and education programme.At the same time, the process like scaling and extraction was also served in the camp to the needy.On this occasion, the needy expressed gratitude to the Dental College for providing free basic treatment. The camp was successfully organized with the cooperation of Jitendra Kumar and all the members of Bharat Tibet Maitri Sang.Dr. Praveen Srinivas, Secretary, Dental College said that teeth are very important part of our health and body.Proper care and cleanliness of the mouth and teeth can prevent many serious diseases occurring in the mouth and teeth.If any kind of symptoms are seen in the mouth and teeth, then take proper consultation from the doctors in time.He said that the motto of the Dental College is to provide basic and quality dental care at low cost.Patients will be given 50 percent discount in other treatments.
