A regional conference focusing on Remand and Bail Jurisprudence was successfully conducted at Loyola School Auditorium, Jamshedpur, organised by the Judicial Academy, Jharkhand, and East Singhbhum Judgeship. The event took place on Sunday, drawing the participation of esteemed legal figures, including the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court and Principal District and Sessions Judges from various districts.

Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra, serving as the Patron Head of Judicial Academy Jharkhand Ranchi, graced the event virtually as the chief guest. Among the honored guests were Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad, Justice Ratnakar Bhengra, Justice Deepak Roshan, and Justice Ambuj Nath. The Director of Judicial Academy Ranchi, Sudhansu Kumar Shashi, and Additional Director Rajesh Kumar, along with Principal District and Sessions Judge Anil Kumar Mishra from Jamshedpur, actively participated.

The program, inaugurated with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished guests, spanned from 10:20 am to 4:30 pm. It featured comprehensive discussions on various legal facets pertaining to remand and bail. Special contributions from Kushi Kushalappa and Dr. JN Barowalia delved into overcoming obstacles in implementing the POCSO Act 2012 and NDPS cases, aiming for expeditious justice for victims.

Notably, this conference marked the fourth regional program in Jharkhand, attracting participation from Principal District Judges, judicial officers, Public Prosecutors, members of the District Bar Association, Panel Lawyers, Legal Council members, law students, civil society representatives, and law enforcement officials from the three districts of the Kolhan Zone.

The event received substantial attendance, including students from Loyola School, who actively engaged in the discussions and benefited from the diverse perspectives shared during this informative and insightful regional conference.
