Frequent power cuts have added to the woes of residents of Keonjhar district who are already reeling under scorching summer heat this year.
Sources revealed that frequent power cuts have increased not only in Keonjhar district but across Odisha after Tata Power took over the distribution.
More importantly ,there is nobody to listen to the grievances of the helpless common people.
However, during his recent three- day visit to Keonjhar, Singh had directed the OPTCL officials to black list the contractor causing delay in completion of power grid substation. His direction has come as a much needed 'ray of hope' for the common people who can not make substitute arrangement for frequent power cuts.
Singh had gone to see a power grid under construction at Turumunga under Patna block and expressed his displeasure for delay in completion of the project.
However, it is yet to be seen how much impact it will have on the officials of OPTCL and Tata Power.
