Eco-friendly Lord Ganesh idols made by women Self-Help Groups (SFGs) in the Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) are in high demand in Chhattisgarh’s Surguja district.
The idols are being prepared by women from Ganesh Pratima Nirman Utpadak Samuh Karmi and Shakti Samooh and Pragati Women SFG. They are available at C-marts and local markets.
These idols are made from clay. Clay-made, eco-friendly idols don’t pose any threat to the environment, a group member said.
The idols are available in different sizes and colour, with prices ranging from Rs 200 to Rs 4,000.
