A delegation of the Election Commission of India held meeting with Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and Director General of Police Sudhir Saxena on the last day of the ongoing review meeting with Collectors and District Election Officers, Superintendents of Police, at the Kushabhau Thakre International Convention Centre, Bhopal, regarding the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections 2023 in Madhya Pradesh.
Discussion was held in detail regarding the upcoming assembly elections-2023 in Madhya Pradesh to be held free and fair. Principal secretaries of various departments participated in it. A presentation was given on the election related preparations through power point.
In the meeting, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, Dharmendra Sharma, Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, Nitesh Vyas, Deputy Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India, Ajay Bhadoo, Senior Principal Secretary, Election Commission of India, NN Butoliya, Director, Director General Media Election Commission of India B Narayanan, Director SVEEP Santosh Ajmera, Director Election Commission of India Pankaj Srivastava, Secretary Election Commission of India Amit Kumar, Chief Electoral Officer Madhya Pradesh Anupam Rajan, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Kumar Kaul, Joint Chief Electoral Officer Rakesh Singh and Basant Kurre were present along with other officials.

The delegation of the Election Commission of India also held a meeting with the nodal officers of the enforcement agencies regarding the monitoring of election expenditure. Instructions to work by preparing an effective action plan to stop money power, illegal liquor and drugs during elections, intensive checking on the border area, coordination of all agencies and compulsorily following all the instructions of the commission were given. Police, Excise, Income Tax, Reserve Bank, Financial Intelligence Unit, State Level Bankers Committee, nodal officers of Custom, CGST, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence Unit, Narcotics Control Bureau, Central Bureau of Narcotics, State Narcotics, ED, Railway RPF, CISF, Airportx Authority of India, State Civil Aviation, Forest, Postal, Transport, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security departments were present.
