The Doctors' Wives Association is set to organise DWA MELA 2023 on July 14 and 15 at IMA Bhawan, Karamtoli Chowk, Morabadi. Greatly enthused by the success of DWA MELA 2022, the proceeds of which were forwarded to the PM RELIEF FUND, via a cheque which was handed over to Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda, the doctors' wives hope to replicate a similar success in 2023 as well.
DWA informed that the bookings of stalls are almost complete. Garments, fusion wear, ethnic wear, handicrafts, Madhubani paintings, accessories like bags, scarves and stoles, footwear, homeware, pickles and preservatives, beauty and bath products, indoor and outdoor plants and related accessories ….. a myriad items will be showcased in the fair.
NGOs, including EKAL, DEEPSHIKHA and KOSHISH will also put up their products like pure spices, mustard oil, diyas, cards & gift bags for sale. A food-court is being set-up where visitors can purchase refreshments. Boutique owners and vendors from Kolkata, Ramgarh and of course Ranchi are eagerly waiting for the fair.
The Doctors' Wives Association is the brainchild of its visionary founder Jhooma Sarkar. It is a registered NGO founded in 2006. Ably guided and supported by the Chairperson Vinita Sharan, its growing body of members, which includes doctors' wives and also lady doctors, has been working steadily for the benefit of the underprivileged women and children.
The current team of DWA 2023 including Seema Maheshwari (President), Madhu Gupta (Secretary) and Amrita Baidya (Treasurer), Rinkoo Choudhary, Anju Singh, Pallavi Sharan and the entire Organising Committee is working hard to successfully organize DWA MELA 2023. The proceeds of course will be used to aid the disadvantaged and the needy.
