Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that sports is an important part of the priorities of our government. Jharkhand emerged as a strong force in sports. To ensure that the players here achieve a different position at the national and international level, they are strengthening the systems and resources related to sports. Our aim is that players from Jharkhand should always be included in the team prepared for any national level sport in the country. The CM said that the players of Jharkhand have created their own identity in all sports in the country and the world. If we also talk about the game of cricket, then Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who has made his mark at the international level, also comes from our state.

The Women's Asian Hockey Championship Trophy-2023 is starting in the state from October 27. I am confident that Jharkhand will host other national and international sports competitions in the coming days,” said Chief Minister Hemant Soren while addressing the event mascot "Juhi" and trophy unveiling programme of Women's Asian Champions Trophy-2023 organized in the auditorium of Jharkhand Ministry today.

Soren said that Jharkhand has been known more for its mineral wealth. It is common to find all types of minerals here, this state provides different strengths to the country. The Chief Minister said that when our government was formed in this state, the entire world was struggling with the Corona infection. All of us were forced to remain locked in our homes for one and a half years, but during this period we did not lock our thinking. Our government has drawn a picture of the direction in which the state should be taken.

The state government continued to make every effort to give better direction to the state even during the Corona transition period. He said that our government has prepared a complete plan to work for the development of education, health infrastructure, tourism and sports in this sequence. When the state government started the work of grooming the players here, it was revealed that grooming the players is more valuable than the mineral wealth of this place.
