CM installs the torch of Khelo India Youth Games

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that India is continuously moving forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has done a wonderful job by giving the opportunity to host the Khelo India Youth Games. A new India is emerging under his leadership. Chouhan was addressing the inaugural programme of Khelo India Youth Games at Tatya Tope Stadium.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that only yesterday India's women's team won the T-20 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. There will be no shortage of funds in Madhya Pradesh to hone the talent of sportspersons. Eleven sports academies have been established for 18 sports in the state. These games will serve to build new players.

The players of the country will also bring laurels at the international level. The players of Madhya Pradesh who come after winning medals will be given a prize of Rs. 5 lakh for the next games. Make best efforts, make India's heart beat.

Chief Minister Chouhan announced the beginning of Khelo India Youth Games. He congratulated all the players. Chief Minister Chouhan established the sports torch Amarkantak. Chouhan said that we will take care of all the players who have come to participate in the Khelo India Games.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that Prime Minister Modi is right in saying that when a player wins a medal in the Olympics, 130 crore people of the country feel proud. The CM said that efforts have been made at every level to promote sports in the state. Earlier Madhya Pradesh was not counted in the field of sports. In the last Khelo India Games, the players of Madhya Pradesh had brought glory to the name of Madhya Pradesh by winning 38 medals.

He said that earlier the budget for sports in Madhya Pradesh used to be Rs. 5 crore, which has now increased to Rs 347 crore. No stone will be left unturned to promote the players and sports of the state, nor will the shortage of funds be allowed.

Union Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Anurag Thakur said that Prime Minister Modi has done the work of taking sports to new heights in the country. He said that when Khelo India Youth Games were held in Haryana last time, many records were broken, in which girls played a better role.

He greeted the players for breaking many such records in Madhya Pradesh as well. He said that Prime Minister Modi is constantly working to boost the morale of the players. India's young players are doing well at the international level. Traditional sports have been included at the national level. Union Minister Thakur welcomed all the sportspersons who had come from every corner of the country in Madhya Pradesh.

State Sports Minister  Yashodhara Raje Scindia said that a new chapter of sports is starting with the Khelo India Youth Games in the saga of Madhya Pradesh. He thanked the central government for giving Madhya Pradesh the privilege to host the Khelo India games. He said that because of the Games, players from all over the country have got the opportunity to gather here today. Chief Minister Chouhan has expanded many sports facilities in the state. Scindia wished the players for their excellent performance.

The ceremony started with the national anthem. A dance on Shiv Bhakti was presented. About 100 meter long stage was built in the main ground of TT Nagar Stadium, in which the culture and historical heritage of Madhya Pradesh was depicted.
