Wednesday, 29 November 2023 | VINOD PRASAD/PNS | LOHARDAGA/RANCHI

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today inaugurated and laid the foundation of schemes worth Rs 131 crore in Lohardaga district. On the occasion he distributed assets Worth Rs 132 crore among over 80 thousand beneficiaries and also distributed appointment letters.

Addressing people on the occasion, the CM said, “This is the third phase of your scheme, your government, your door campaign. I have come to Lohardaga today to join the campaign. This is the third consecutive year of delivering the state government schemes to the doorsteps of the people of the state. This is the government of tribals and natives. We have to reach the last person and connect him with the welfare schemes of the government. Now in the third phase, camps are being organized at Panchayat and Ward level under the Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapki Dwar programme. Where officials did not go, today they are coming among you with schemes, so that the tribals, dalits, backward and minorities of the state get their rights and benefits of the schemes.”

The Chief Minister was speaking as the chief guest at the Aapki Yojana, Aapki Sarkar, Aapke Dwar program organized at Chiri, Kudu in Lohardaga on Tuesday.

The CM said, “We have done the work of sending the officials to your village and panchayat with a bundle of schemes. The previous governments never worked to take care of the villages, the poor and the common people including the farmers. This is the reason why lakhs of applications came to the camps. The previous government never used to send officials to villages and panchayats. We changed all this. Today lakhs of needy people are getting rights. The officials are serving the common people. The government's plan is to strengthen the rural economy. We have to strengthen our roots here. The roots here are the farmers, workers and youth.”

The CM said that the state government will now give pension even to disabled people of five years of age. The maximum number of applications for the first phase of the campaign came for pension. The government gathered information about this and, considering this, made a law to give pensions to all old people and widows. Now everyone is getting the benefit of pension on time. We have removed the fixed number requirement for this.

He said that the Central Government did not approve eight lakh houses for the needy of Jharkhand. Now our government is covering the qualified needy under the state sponsored Abua Housing Scheme. This will be a three-room furnished residence. The process of housing allotment has also started under your scheme, your government, your doorstep programme. After the neglect of the Central Government, it was necessary for the State Government to ensure social security of the people here. The CM said that the state government is starting Gram Gaadi Yojana, in which free bus service will be provided to the elderly, agitators and others, so that they can also connect with the city.

The CM said - Abua Bir Abua Dishom campaign is being run to give forest lease to those dependent on forests. So that forest lease can be given to qualified people. We have to complete this campaign. The Chief Minister said- Sports and players are being promoted. Jharkhand witnessed the Asian Hockey Championship trophy for the first time in the country. Your government has increased the honorarium given to the players. Besides, players have also got government jobs.

The Chief Minister said that I am personally reviewing this campaign by visiting the districts in all phases whether people are getting benefits or not.

On this occasion, Minister Dr. Rameshwar Oraon, Minister Satyanand Bhokta, Rajya Sabha MP Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, Gumla MLA Bhushan Tirkey, former MLA Sukhdev Bhagat, former MLA Bandhu Tirkey, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Reena Bhagat, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister.
