In a sensational case in Aligarh, a hotel owner, his kin and two others gang-raped a class 10th girl in the hotel in Sarsaul area of Bannadevi police station.
On the complaint of the victim’s father, the police registered a case and arrested the hotel owner and his brother-in-law and sent them to jail. The hotel has been sealed by the police.
According to the police, the 15-year-old girl, a resident of Khereshwar Square, Khair Road,  was going to school on a scooty on Wednesday morning.
It was alleged that Vedprakash Sharma, the operator of Sharmaji Hotel, located in Sarsaul near Sutmil intersection, and his brother-in-law Neeraj Sharma lured the girl and took her inside the hotel. The accused were later also joined by  two more individuals in room number 109 of the hotel and gang-raped her, police said.
Reports said that the girl managed to send a message on her father’s phone. When the victim’s father arrived at the hotel, the accused denied her presence and pushed him out of the hotel. The victim’s father returned to the hotel with his family members and found his daughter lying in an unconscious state in the hotel room, they said.
Superitendent of Police, City Mrigank Shekhar Pathak said, “On the complaint of victim’s father, the police registered a case against four individuals, including hotel operator Vedprakash Sharma, Neeraj Sharma and two unidentified individuals under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act-5 and 6 for gang rape.
As per information, a youth known to the girl used to take her in the hotel room with the help of the hotel staff. On the basis of which two staff personnel have been arrested.
“If hotel staff help people enter any hotel by changing or hiding their age in order to have relations with a minor, then it is a criminal act so we have sealed the hotel and taking further legal action in the matter," claimed Kalanidhi Naithani, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Aligarh.
