CCL celebrates Rajbhasa Pakhwara

Rajbhasa Pakhwara (Official Language Fortnight) closing-cum-prize distribution ceremony was organized at Central Coalfield Limited (CCL) on Friday. On the occasion, renowned educationist, artist and professor of St Xavier, Kamal Kumar Bose was present as the chief guest. Director (Technical and Service), Ram Babu Prasad, Director (Personnel), Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Finance), Pawan Kumar Mishra, Chief Vigilance Officer, Pankaj Kumar were present on the special occasion.

The program was inaugurated with Coal India corporate song and lighting of the lamp. Bose was honored with CCL's prestigious award "CCL Rajbhasha Bhaskar Samman 2023".

On this occasion, Bose said in his address that today is the day of awakening of Hindi, as well as the day of resolution. Today Hindi is becoming increasingly popular all over the world due to its specialty.

Ram Babu Prasad said that the use of Hindi should go beyond the limits of a day or fortnight and should become a part of our daily life and the resolution taken today should be implemented in our lives.

Mishra in his speech highlighted the technical use of Hindi and said that we can ensure its spread by using Hindi in official practice. He also advised to avoid inter-lingual translation. He also stressed on the use of simple language instead of dictionary language.

Pawan Kumar Mishra said that we all should try to take Hindi forward. Almost all the developed countries of the world work in their mother tongue, we should also adopt Hindi and give it respect like a mother.

Pankaj Kumar in his address said that Hindi is linked to our national identity and is an integral part of our identity. He said that the uniqueness and communicability of Hindi are its main elements.

Under the Official Language Awards, employees, areas and departments were rewarded for special efforts made for maximum use of Hindi in office related work. Under this, first prize was given to Bokaro and Kargali region, second prize was given to Kujju region and third prize was given to Dhori. Official language honor was given to the departments of the headquarters in two categories – technical and non-technical category. Under this, the first prize was given to the Electrical and Mechanical Department. The security department was awarded the first prize in the non-technical category. Along with this, the winning participants of various competitions organized during the fortnight were also honored with prizes and certificates.

On this occasion, General Managers, Heads of Departments, senior officers and a large number of employees of various departments were present. At the beginning of the program, the welcome statement was given by the Head of the Department (Official Language) Mr. Sanjay Kumar. The stage management of the program was done by Nisha Kumari and the vote of thanks was done by Divik Divesh. The Official Language Department and other departments played an important role in the successful organization of the program.
