ILCC holds Fancy Dress Competition
An “Inter School Fancy Dress Competition” for Classes Pre Nursery to II was held at The International Library and Cultural Center on Wednesday. The themes given were: “Animated Characters from Fairytales” and “My favorite Profession”. The school entries were divided into two groups. Group A comprised children from Pre-Nursery and Nursery and Group B had students from Prep to Class II. The little moppets in Group A turned up all dressed up as their favorite fairytale characters like Peppa Pig, Garden Fairy, Candy Girl, Aladdin’s Genie, Elsa, Wendy The Witch, Little Mermaid, Batman & Minnie Mouse. The professions represented by Group B included an Astronaut, a Nature Activist, a Politician, a Potter, a Scientist, an Air Hostess, a Pilot, a Cricketer and a Doctor who aspired to be a dancer. The Judges were Vishakha Basu, Niti Mehndiratta and Megha Kapoor. The programme was conducted by ILCC Cultural Secretary Rekha Mishra. Logistical support was provided by ILCC Librarian Nivedita Sharma. In the Group A Frist Prize was bagged by Jaiswi Sinha (Surendranath Centenary), while the Second and Third Prizes went to Aavya Raj (Delhi Public School) and Vartika Vaani (DAV Kapil Dev Public School) respectively. In Group B First prize was given to Akshaya Singh (Delhi Public School), Second Prize: Harshit Chaudhary (DAV Kapil Dev Public School) andThird Prize: Anisha (Surendra Nath Centenary).
SBPS students shine in Inter-School Technical Bonanza
The students of Sarala Birla Public School, Ranchi left their indelible mark in the Inter-School Technical Bonanza organized at Morabadi in which more than 500 students from 15 schools participated. Aditya Kumar of Std. XII received the 1st prize in Pythagoras Pro- a Mathematics competition and was awarded a cash prize of Rs7000. Shivansh Joshi of Std. X received the 1st prize in Pythagoras Star along with a cash prize of Rs7000. Lal Rupak Nath Shahdeo of Std. X received the 3rd prize in Pythagoras Star along with a cash prize of Rs3000. Khushee Kumari of Std. IX received the 3rd position in Tech Art- a technical drawing competition with a cash prize of Rs 3000. Vibhu Anand of Std. X got 3rd appreciation prize in Pythagoras star. Nischay Ratan of Std. IX got the 3rd Appreciation prize in Curiosity- General Quiz. Overall, the school got the 1st runner up trophy.
