Himachal CM visits Partition Museum, Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday visited the Partition Museum in Amritsar and paid his tributes to the people who lost their lives in the 1947 communal carnage.
Sukhu, who was in the city to attend the Northern Zonal Council meeting, also visited Jallianwala Bagh, Golden Temple, and Durgiana Temple. The CM said the museum will always inspire the young generation to live together and understand the importance of their loved ones. The Partition Museum, established in 2017, in the historic Town Hall of Amritsar, is the first museum in the world where the historical documents related to partition have been preserved, a statement issued here said on Tuesday.  During his visit to the Jallianwala Bagh, the CM paid his tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives and exhorted youths to study the history of India’s freedom struggle and remember the British oppression. He also prayed at the Golden Temple and Durgiana Temple.

Hry DGP holds coordination meeting on cyber security with private bank officials

Chandigarh: Haryana Director General of Police Shatrujeet Kapur on Tuesday emphasized the importance of working within the "golden hours" and reducing response time to prevent cybercrime. He said that the chances of stopping a cybercrime are highest in the initial period after it occurs, which is known as the "golden hour. Kapur made these remarks while presiding over a meeting with senior officials of HDFC Bank regarding cyber security. He stressed that the police department and bank employees play equally important roles in this effort and that enhanced coordination between the two entities is essential for effective crime prevention. The meeting focused on discussing the Citizen Financial Cyber Fraud Reporting Management System module of the Cyber Portal, as well as the challenges associated with apprehending cybercriminals and potential solutions.

15 percent discount till Sept 30 in Hry on self verification of property data

Chandigarh: Haryana Government is offering a 15 percent discount to urban property owners who make complete payments of their property tax for the year 2023-24 by September 30. A spokesperson of the Urban Local Bodies Department said that if there are any errors in the Haryana Urban Property Tax assessment, property owners can online rectify them at https://ulbharyana.gov.in/ portal. After addressing the errors, they should proceed to verify the property data. The spokesperson said that all property owners have the opportunity to avail 15 percent discount by verifying their property data on their own before September 30.

Sale of Plots for Mega Food Park Rohtak launched

Chandigarh: HAFED and HSIIDC have launched the sale of plots in the Mega Food Park at Rohtak. HAFED has set up the Mega Food Park, Rohtak, which spreads across 50 acres and has 80 plots ranging from 450 to 4050 square meters. Dr. J Ganesan, Managing Director, HAFED, issued allotment letters to the first allottees at the HAFED Corporate Office in Panchkula. He said that the Mega Food Park is located at IMT Rohtak on NH-10, linking Delhi and Rohtak. He informed investors that they can set up a wide range of units in the Mega Food Park, including cattle feed, fruit and vegetable processing, dairy and milk processing, grain and cereal processing, meat and poultry processing, spice processing, beverage production, edible oil extraction and refining, bakery, snack food manufacturing, ready-to-eat (RTE) and ready-to-cook (RTC) foods, canning and preserving, and food ingredient manufacturing.
