HAFED delegation reaches UAE
Chandigarh: The Chairman of the Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) Kailash Bhagat said that soon there will be an agreement between the UAE and the Haryana government to export rice and sugar to the UAE, after which Haryana Rice and sugar will be exported. This information came following Bhagat's meeting with several key figures in the UAE's basmati rice export industry. Bhagat, accompanied by a HAFED delegation, which included Dr J Ganesan, Managing Director of HAFED, and Rajneesh Sharma, General Manager (Marketing), visited the UAE to explore these export opportunities.
MC seeks advance on Grant in Aid from Chandigarh Administration
Chandigarh: Anup Gupta, Mayor, Chandigarh on Friday said that he met UT Administrator Banwarilal Purohit and sought advance against the 3rd installment of Grant in aid share i.e. 135 crores so that the ongoing developmental works are not affected. While sharing this information, the Mayor said that the administration has assured early release of Rs. 25 crores as advance from its 3rd installment of Grant in aid share of 135 crores.
Haryana State-Level Women's Awards nominations invited by Nov 20
Chandigarh: The Haryana government has invited nominations for the Haryana State-Level Women's Awards, which celebrate the accomplishments of women who have excelled in diverse fields. Nominations will be accepted until November 20, 2023, and should be accompanied by comprehensive biographical data and details of achievements. Sharing information, an official spokesperson said that these awards are presented by the government on International Women's Day and encompass a wide range of categories, recognizing women who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in various domains.
Gandharva Maha-Vidyalaya, Panchkula hosts classical music concert
Chandigarh: A grand concert of classical music was organised at Tagore Theatre by Gandharva Maha-Vidyalaya, Panchkula to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of the legendary doyen of classical music Pt Vishnu Digambar Paluskar and to mark 75 years of Maha-Vidyalaya's existence and service to society. Bandaru Dattatreya, Governor of Haryana was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Some of the noted artists invited to present their performance on the solemn occasion were: Pt. Yogesh Samsi, Dr Vinay Mishra, Rajneesh Dhiman, Dr Aditya Sharma and Adarsh Saxena.
