AIIMS BBSR ORGANISES HEALTH MELA (Pix)
Bhubaneswar: The AIIMS Bhubaneswar organised a Health Mela in the village Sijua near here, which was inaugurated by AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director Dr Ashutosh Biswas. As part of G20 Jan Bhagidari campaign, doctors, paramedical staffs and medical students provided health consultation and free medicines to the villagers. Sixty-five school students were given special attention regarding their nutrition status and overall health assessment. Similarly, geriatric groups were provided a holistic attention. Efforts were made to meet women’s demands with special focus on creating awareness over menstrual and breast Health. A blood donation camp was also organised.
PHYSICS WALLAH LAUNCHES VIDYAPEETH IN BBSR (Pix)
Bhubaneswar: PW (Physics Wallah), India's affordable edtech platform, launched its Vidyapeeth centre in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. Earlier, the PW had opened Vidyapeeths in Jaipur and Siliguri. The Bhubaneswar centre was inaugurated by Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.
PUBLIC HEARING HELD FOR MSP PLANT EXPANSION (Pix)
Keonjhar: A public hearing for capacity expansion of the MSP factory at Haladiaguna under Sadar block of Keonjhar district was held on Wednesday. Compnay director Pradeep Deos read out the summary statement of the proposed project and 51 affected villagers participated in the hearing and eight others submitted their written statements. DRDA PD Bishnu Prasad Acharya presided. Company sources said that after the plant’s expansion, around 760 people would be appointed and the company would enhance its peripheral development work under CSR.
MILLET SHAKTI TIFFIN CENTRE IIN BARGARH (Pix)
Bargarh: A Millet Shakti Tiffin Centre has been inaugurated by the Ma Mangala SHG. As the government continues to encourage farmers to increase the millet harvest by considering the quality and demand of food prepared from millets, the Millets Mission programme is progressing in this direction. Preparations from millets include gaja, mixture, jellebi, rasgola, seo and many other kinds of food products.
