Bhopal Mayor directs on garbage collection system

Bhopal Mayor Malti Rai gave instructions while reviewing the garbage collection system in various ward areas of Zone No. 05, 09 and 11 during visit on Friday.

Mayor Malti Rai visited ward numbers 08, 09, 14, 19, 22 and 22 of zone number 05 to ensure the cleanliness system of the city in a better way and to conduct cleanliness activities according to the norms prescribed for Swachh Survekshan 2023.

She also visited Ward No. 36 of Zone No. 09 and Ward No. 39 of Zone No. 11 to reviewe the door-to-door garbage collection and cleanliness arrangements in various areas and to make the garbage collection system more strong, each house.

Instructions were given to collect garbage from the shops and institutions, to segregate the garbage in a better way and also to send the segregated garbage to the Garbage Transfer Station.

Mayor Malti Rai also observed the arrangement of garbage transportation in various garbage vehicles.

During this, she interacted with the citizens and took feedback regarding the corporation's garbage collection system and keeping the wet-dry and other types of waste coming out of the houses and institutions in separate dustbins and coming to collect the garbage and provide it to  Safai Mitra in the same manner was advised.

She also appealed to the citizens to make Bhopal city number 1 in cleanliness by giving active cooperation in the cleanliness activities conducted by the corporation.

Mayor visited Royal Market, Kohefiza Police Station, Shaheed Nagar, Imamigate, Ashoka Colony, Barah Dari, Peergate, Aliganj, Nehru Road, Moti Masjid, Ibrahimpura Chatori Gali, Hathikhana etc. in the morning and Khatik Colony, Pushpa Nagar in the afternoon. , Roshan Bagh, Housing Board Colony Aishbagh, Rani Amanbai Colony, Jagriti Colony, Naveen Nagar Mahamai Ka Bagh etc. took stock of the arrangements for cleanliness and door-to-door garbage collection. She discussed with the concerned officers and employees of the Health Department regarding cleanliness and door-to-door garbage collection system.
