Betla National Park will remain closed every Tuesday every week from now onwards.
The chief conservator of forest and field director of the tiger reserve Palamu Kumar Ashutosh has confirmed it saying this coming Tuesday March 28 this park will remain closed for tourists and it will continue to be closed every coming Tuesday all the year round.
He repeated "Every Tuesday it will be closed. An order to this effect has come from the National Tiger Conservation Authority. This Tuesday closure every week is for all tiger reserves in the country."
There are 50 plus tiger reserves in the country.
The NTCA has done this for multiple purposes like upkeep of the infra structures and also to off load the pressure of the tourists giving tiger reserve officials and others to have time to breathe and think about the wild life and the tourists.
