The district administration of Hazaribag conducted Janata Darbar in naxal affected Bhaghar panchayat on the Jharkhand Bihar border, which is 26 kilometre far from Choparan block headquarters.
All the officers along with deputy commissioner Nancy Sahay and deputy development commissioner Prerna Dixit listened to the problems of villagers and tried to find out solutions then and there. Both the officers offered financial help to the villagers to purchase assets for their livelihood.
On this occasion the DC said that Bhaghar village panchayat has a different geographical structure. She said that the district administration has decided to construct all village roads, which will be connected with the main road. This is the only way to connect the villagers to block and district headquarters.
She appealed to the villagers to cooperate in the implementation of government schemes in the villages. She assured the villagers that all the officers will listen to their problems and find solutions.
Hazaribag SP Manoj Kumar Chothey said that the police department will act immediately on the complaint of the villagers. He said that the district police will work with them like a friend.
He further said that in order to maintain law and order in the village panchayat, the police department will establish a police picket in the villages, so that they can get relief from the activities of the naxal organisation.
Barhi MLA Uma Shankar Yadav Akela said that holding a janata darbar in remote naxal affected areas shows how sensitive the government is towards the problems of the villagers. He said that as a public representative he always tries to listen to the problems of the villagers and forward them to the district administration for solution.
The district administration handed over the sanction letter of Ambedkar Awas yojana and two to enter in the newly constructed houses, which were constructed in Ambedkar yojana. Under the Phulo Jhano Yojana two get the financial help of 50 thousand each.
As many as 15 persons received the green card, 31 for pension yojana and three physical handicap persons tricycles in the janata darbar.
