All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal is set to host an enlightening Brainstorming Session on "Exploring the Healing Heritage: Unveiling the Scope of Traditional Tribal Medicines in Central India - The Current Landscape, Unmet Needs, and Future Directions" on July 25, 2023.
Under the esteemed patronship of Dr. Sunil Malik, President of AIIMS Bhopal, and Executive Director Prof. Dr. Ajai Singh, this event promises to be a significant platform for exchanging knowledge and ideas on tribal health and traditional medicinal practices.
This one-day event will bring together eminent experts, researchers, government officials, and representatives from various organizations to deliberate on tribal health and the potential of traditional tribal medicines in Central India.
The Inaugural Session of the event will be graced by the Hon'ble Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Shri Mangubhai Patel, as the Chief Guest. Additionally, Maj. Gen. (Dr. Prof.) Atul Kotwal from the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi, will deliver a Plenary Lecture.
The event will feature a Panel Discussion comprising notable figures such as R Jaya from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MOTA), New Delhi, Commissioner of AYUSH, Mr. Sanjeev Singh from the Tribal Development Department, Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Sudam Khade from the Health Department, Madhya Pradesh, and Ms. Priyanka Das from the National Health Mission (NHM), Madhya Pradesh.
The Brainstorming Session will further include Invited Lectures from distinguished personalities focusing on Perspectives from NGOs toward Improved Tribal Health. Renowned speakers, such as Dr. Raman Kataria from Jan Swasthaya Sahyog, Dr. Ashish Satav from Mahan Trust, Dr. Prasanta Tripathy from EKJUT, and Dr. Umesh Shukla from Khushilal Ayurvedic College, Bhopal, will share their valuable insights on the subject.
