5T Secretary VK Pandian on the instructions of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday visited Kendrapada district and took stock of various development projects.
Pandian visited the Baldevjew Temple in Kendrapada and the Ramchandi Temple in Rajnagar and offered prayers. He held discussions with the Baldevjew Temple trust board members and instructed them to prepare DPR for further development and beautification.
He also visited the Arcelor/Mittal Nippon steel plant site in Mahakalapada block and instructed the district Collector and plant executives to start work immediately. He also took stock of the proposed Rs 110-crore expansion work of the Marshaghai-Jambu canal road.
Besides, he held discussions with over 130 civil society organisations regarding development of the district.
He went to the golden grass handicrafts unit in Jajanga and held talks with the Self-Help Group members regarding their problems.
