A 22-year-old MBA student from Technocrats Institute of Technology (TIT), Bhopal died of cardiac arrest, reason of cardiac arrest remained suspicious, said police in the preliminary investigation.
His friends took the student to Gayatri Hospital in Patel Nagar where the doctors declared the student dead after examination.
Piplani police station said that Vivek Soni (22), resident of Rewa, lived with friends in Ayodhya Nagar area. On Monday night at around 8 pm, he was cooking with friends in the flat. Then he told his friends about chest pain and fell unconscious in the kitchen. Vivek was immediately taken to Gayatri Hospital in Patel Nagar, where he was declared dead.
Friends who were present with Vivek Soni at the time of the incident told that on Monday night, four of us friends had gathered to study in a flat in Ayodhya Nagar. We all were about to start studying, then Vivek said – First we will eat food, then we will study. It will be around 8 pm. Vivek went to the kitchen.
He was talking while cooking and suddenly he fell. When we saw, he kept his hand on chest and wasn't able to say anything. We immediately took him to Gayatri Hospital located in Patel Nagar. Here the doctors declared him dead.
Sudeep Rajput, Head Constable, Piplani Police Station said Vivek Soni had a heart attack when he was cooking and was taken to Gayatri Hospital, where the doctor declared him dead. After postmortem, the body of the student has been handed over to his family.
Dr. GR Adlak, Director, Gayatri Hospital said that Vivek Soni was brought to the hospital by his friends around 11 pm on Monday night. The young man had died before reaching the hospital. The friends accompanying Vivek had informed about his chest pain. Probably he had a heart attack.
