Continuing with his tirade against Prime Minister Nàrendra Modi on the Adani Group controversy, former Congress president and Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said Modi Narendra Modi will never probe the Adani issue as the findings will not harm Adani, but someone else.
Referring to recent revelations made about Adani group, Rahul said, global papers reported that Adani, who is close to Modi, sent thousands of crores of rupees outside India; increased the price of the shares of his own companies in the stock market and then used that money to purchase the national assets and infrastructure.
“It is being said that even railway stations will also be given to him. Everything is being handed over to one person”, Rahul said addressing a public rally at Raipur in Chhattisgarh state which goes to polls later this year.
Questioning the Prime Minister’s silence on the issue, the Gandhi scion said, the PM should tell why is he not getting the Adani matter probed? “Thousands of crores of rupees that went outside India – whose money was it? It was not Adani’s money. The PM cannot get an inquiry done against Adani because if the truth comes out, it will not be the loss of Adani, but someone else”, he said. Rahul also said, unlike the BJP, the Congress delivers what it promises while praising the Chhattisgarh government for fulfilling all promises it had made to people before the elections.
Addressing the impressive ‘Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan’ the Lok sabha MP said, it was the fight between the divisive ideology of the BJP that divides people and spreads hate on one side and the Congress ideology which unites people and spreads love and harmony.
