The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which is busy in preparing for next year’s Lok Sabha elections, will make its inroads among the women voters by making half the population aware of the features of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act passed on women’s reservation. For this, the party will organise big conferences in all 403 assemblies of Uttar Pradesh, informed state party president Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary while addressing a meeting of Mahila Morcha (Kashi Region) at party’s regional office in Rohaniya here on Wednesday.

“The BJP always encouraged women as it is the first party which has given a stake in the organisation by ensuring 33 per cent reservation for women. With the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, women will get an opportunity to lead and they will also be able to play their role in nation building,” he said, adding that by enacting the Act, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken another step towards the empowerment of women as this is a decision which will give women power their rights in the true sense and it will increase the representation of women from assemblies to Lok Sabha.

“This Act is a reflection of the new India being built under the leadership of the PM,” he said, and instructed the in-charges of all the 71 assemblies under Kashi region to organise big conferences. Addressing the conference, BJP state vice president, MLC and state in-charge of Mahila Morcha Vijay Bahadur Pathak said that the conferences to be held at the assembly level in 71 assemblies of Kashi region will be held between October 8 and October 31. “The dates for these conferences to be held in three phases have been fixed. According to him, the first phase will be held between 8th to 14th October, the second between 17th to 21st October and third  between 26th to 31st October.

Pathak further said that the state leadership has decided to organise Nari Shakti Vandan Yatra at the assembly conferences as well as at the booth level. Through this yatra, everyone has to do door-to-door public relations at the booth level and make people aware of this historic decision taken by the PM. Regional president (Kashi) Dilip Patel, who was presiding over the meeting, said that in these proposed conferences, we have to tell that BJP has always given priority to the uplift and empowerment of women. The meeting was jointly conducted by regional general secretary Ashok Chaurasia and Mahila Morcha state general secretary Kritika Agrawal, while the vote of thanks was given by regional chief of Mahila Morcha Namrata Chaurasia. MP Keshari Devi Patel, national vice president and Rajya Sabha MP Seema Dwivedi, state general secretary Govind Narayan Shukla, Rajya Sabha MP Darshana Singh, Anamika Chaudhary, Shankar Giri, Meena Choubey, Sushil Tripathi andothers were also present.

Meanwhile, addressing another meeting at the same venue, state BJP chief said that ‘Anushuchit (Scheduled) Mahasammelans’ will be organised in all the six organisational areas of the state under the auspices of BJP’s Anushuchit Morcha. The Kashi regional unit of this frontal organisation will organise its Mahasammelan on October 27 in which 2,000 people from each assembly falling          under Kashi region will participate.

“The BJP is committed to the development of Scheduled Caste people. Under the leadership of the PM, the central government has worked for the welfare and uplift of the SC through its many schemes in the last nine years, “ he said, adding that today the maximum number of MPs, MLAs and other public representatives from the SC in the entire country belong to the BJP.
