Inspired by the tips given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from his virtual address a day ago, the workers of Bharatiya Janaa Party (BJP) have intensified their door-to-door contact campaign to apprise the people of the achievements of the Central Government during the last nine years. Though the 2024 parliamentary election is still far away and the opposition parties are busy in making a strong joint alliance, the BJP continued its activities to reach the voters as at present, its booth workers are doing contact with each voter under its on-going month long Maha Sampark Abhiyan, which was launched last month and it will continue till June 30.
During this month, the party had organised several big programmes including a public meeting of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath apart from many others addressed by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Union Minister SP Singh Baghel and senior BJP leaders. According to regional party chief (Kashi Region) Dilip Singh Patel, one big public meeting was held in each of 14 parliamentary constituencies of the region including Varanasi, Chandauli, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Machhalishahr, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Prayagraj, Phulpur, Pratapgarh, Sultanpur, Kaushambi and Amethi.
Besides, the party has also made arrangements of big LED screens and other facilities so that the party workers could listen to the PM’s virtual addresses on many occasions during the month including one from Bhopal when Modi interacted with party workers in ‘Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot’ programme. During this month, the senior party leaders contacted at least 250 special families of Padam award winners, sportspersons, artistes, entrepreneurs, doctors, former judges, martyrs and others in view that they would play as opinion leaders for the party in the upcoming elections. Recently, the party had performed superbly well in UP Urban Body polls, as usual the party did in the past but its leaders are confident about doing well in forthcoming panchayat elections as well as in recent time, the party has strengthened its organisational structure in rural areas especially in this part of Purvanchal (eastern UP).
In the last phase of the ongoing Maha Sampark Abhiyan, party workers are contacting the people at their doorsteps and handing over leaflets highlighting all the achievements of central governments during the last nine years. In this parliamentary constituency of the PM, the people have also been apprised about the overall development work done in the city areas under the leadership of Modi. In view of summer days, the BJP teams of workers generally contacted the people during the morning and evening hours.
Under this Maha Sampark Abhiyan, regional president Dilip Singh Patel, along with MLA Dr Neelkanth Tiwari, contacted people in booth number 206 (Adampur) and distributed leaflets of nine years achievements of the central government.
They also asked the people to fill forms and if they support the work of the PM, they should give a missed call on mobile number 9090902024. Such exercise will help the party to understand the reality of its ground level support from the people.
Regional spokesman Navratan Rathi said that door-to-door public contact drives at the booth level in all the Lok Sabha constituencies of Kashi Region will continue till June 30.
