empowered women, empowered world

In terms of dignity and rights, all human beings are born free and equal

AIn the words of Melinda French Gates, “When you lift up women, you lift up humanity.”The power to empower other women is in all of us. Whether it's your sister, mother, or friend one of us can empower others with their words and actions. Today, all of us are living in the age of continued gender gap, wage gap, attitudes toward different races and groups, religious beliefs and many other obstacles, which makes it quite imperative that women, actively work to empower each other. Empowering other women to speak and express themselves also carries with it a responsibility to curtail negativity.

Empowering other women means listening, communicating and encouraging a woman in their goals and dreams. When one empowers another it can be a rewarding experience for everyone involved in it. By supporting other women one can feel more confident; start believing in their power, feel equipped to take on the new challenges and can effect change. By all these, it is not to suggest that empowering women is, in some way, disempowering men. When one woman empowers another woman, it shows them how they too can empower themselves by learning from other experiences in life.

Not only in India but across the globe, women empowerment is dependent to a great extent on numerous variables that encompass geographical settings both urban as well as rural areas, social status such as caste and class, educational status and age factors. However, women encounter differentiation in most sectors like education, economic opportunities, health and medical assistance political participation, which demonstrates that there are substantial gaps between strategy advancements and real exercise at the community level.Women are key drivers of economic growth. Various steps should be taken to dismantle stereotypes about gender equality, gender identity, gender roles and gender expressions that are underpinned by patriarchal social norms. In terms of dignity and rights, all human beings are born free and equal. There is no denying the fact, that women are known for delivering multiple roles effortlessly per day and thus, are considered to be the backbone of every society. Despite so many women leaders empowering the nation, many leaders face a heightened risk of violence. As rightly said, “Courage doesn’t grow overnight. It can be a long process.”As rightly quoted, “Courage doesn’t grow overnight. It can be a long process.”

A woman has the quality to collect all her NOs. It’s okay for a woman to not only hear the word NO and be refused but also, it’s okay to not get what one wants on the first try. But the perspective on the NO changes the attitude and therefore the outlook on the outcomes. Despite so many women leaders empowering the nation, many leaders face a heightened risk of violence. In the words of Nelson Mandela,” Freedom cannot be achieved unless the women have been emancipated from all forms of oppression.”Behind every woman who can do anything is a man telling her that she can’t. Remember, a woman’s and girl’s empowerment cannot be achieved until gender gaps are eliminated. A woman should not be scared to raise her voice and seek help. Even if it seems impossible, there is always a way out.
