West Central Railway is expanding its infrastructure works developing passenger facilities, expanding the infrastructure works and latest in series would be Madan Mahal railway station developed extensively as a terminal building.

The plan is such that a general waiting room, air conditioned waiting room and a separate waiting room for women will be constructed on the ground floor towards platform number 1 in this terminal building. Toilets will be constructed with use and payment. Along with this, the booking and reservation offices will be upgraded.

Parking is being provided for two and four wheeler vehicles and auto rickshaws towards Jabalpur end in the circulating area of Platform No. This parking area will have space for about 100 two wheelers, 60 four wheelers and 80 auto rickshaws. Along with this, there will also be a separate arrangement for drop and go.

Platform number 4 is planned in such a way that the offices of RPF and GRPF will be made on the ground floor. Here also the passenger waiting room will be general and air-conditioned and separate arrangements will be made for women, while developing the circulating area of Platform No. 4, Attraction Rail Coach will be a restaurant and proper arrangement will be made for two and four wheeler vehicles.

Madan Mahal Railway Station has now increased from 3 to 4 platforms and all the platforms have become about 600 meters in length. Covered 100 percent over the shed is also being installed on all the platforms. New FOB with a ramp has been constructed.
