On the beginning of Vikram Samvat 2079 this year, the Gaurav Diwas of Ujjain will be celebrated in the city of Baba Mahakal. On this day, on April 2, the 9-day Vikramotsav will also conclude on Chaitra Nav Varsh Pratipada. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the chief guest at the concluding ceremony. Renowned musician Kailash Kher with his band ‘Kailasa’ will present a melodious musical performance on the banks of river Kshipra. Higher Education Minister and Chairman of Vikramotsav Organizing Committee, Mohan Yadav informed that on the eve of Nav Samvatsar, lyricist, nationalist poet Shri Manoj Muntashir will present ‘Muntashirnama’ on April 1. A National Kavi Sammelan will be held at Shaheed Park on March 31, in which Vedvrat Vajpayee (Lucknow), Kavita Tiwari (Lucknow), Anil Agarwal (New Delhi), Rashmi Shakya (Ghazipur), Deepak Parikh (Bhilwara), Gaurav Chauhan (Etawah and Ashok Bhati (Ujjain) will recite poetry. Dinesh ‘Diggaj’ will be the sutradhar of the Kavi Sammelan.
Minister Yadav informed that on March 30, the Mahanatya ‘Vikramaditya’, created on the lines of Mahanatya ‘Jaanata Raja’, will conclude in Ujjain. In this Mahanatya, live theatrical performances are being performed with special effects through horses, elephants, palanquins and baggis. On the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Surya Upasana programme will also be held at Datta Akhara Kshipra river bank till 5:30 am. Along with this, ‘Bharat Vikram’ YouTube channel will also be started.
Ujjain will again become a textile hub
Minister Yadav informed that once upon a time Ujjain was known as textile hub. Industries are being established again in Ujjain under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Chouhan will perform bhoomi-pujan of Pratibha Syntex Factory on April 2. With the establishment of the factory, direct employment will be available to about five thousand people. Medical device park is also being established in about 300 acres in Ujjain. Higher Education Minister Yadav gave this information during a discussion with media representatives on Wednesday.
