As one enters into new year, a scientist couple originally from South India, have brought joy in life of two abandoned sisters with adopting them officially.
Both work in a scientific institute have and have adopted sisters of six and four years of age who were living at Dhanbad based Child Care and Adoption centre since last one year. Both were abamdoned by parents in Bokaro. The Bokaro Child Welfare committee had got them admitted here for better life.
Most intresting part of the story is that the scientist couple also bought a new car on same date so that they can take the two sisters to their "new permanent home".
The couple had also brought new cloths and sweets for the sisters besides those residing their and waiting for their new parents.Both sisters were seen beeming with joy.
Dhanbad Child Welfare Committee chairman Uttam Mukharjee said, the sisters have been handed over to the couple for 60 days pre- adoption period.
He said, if all goes well they would be leglly handed ovet to the couple by deputy commission who happens to be the competent authority in this matter after the pre- adoption period .
The couple had applied for adoption through Central Adoption Resource Authority ( CARA) portal. After completing the initial legal formalities they took the kids to their new home.
District Child Welfare officer Sadhana Kumari, Child care centre operator Neeraj Kumar, child specialist Dr Ashok Talpatra beaides others were present while completion of paperworks. Dr Talpatra conducted the health check of the girls in presence of the new parents .
After this now there happens to be nine kids up to age of six left here for legal adoption. Recentaly a five year boy was adopted by Canada based Indian couple.
