Punjab state transmission corporation limited CMD, A.Venu Prasad on Saturday said that due to the robust transmission network of PSTCL, Punjab met the power demand of 15000 MW during the ongoing paddy season. He said that in the recent past power system operating corporation limited has enhanced the ATC/TTC (available transfer capability/total transfer capability) limits from 7100/7700 MW to 8500/9000 MW of PSTCL . He said that with the hike in transmission capacity of PSTCL is strengthening power system of Punjab to provide regular 8 hours power to around 14 lacs tubewell consumers during ongoing paddy season even without imposing any restrictions on industries. He said that Punjab state load dispatch centre (SLDC), is a unique separate accounting unit of PSTCL, which ensures integrated operation of the power system of Punjab with the northern region load dispatch centre of India.
