Residents of Pipliyakumar, Nipania areas demand police station

Monday, 04 July 2022 | PNS | INDORE

A meeting of Ward 36 - 37 Residents Association was organized at Saraswati Temple premises, Tulsi Nagar here on Sunday primarily to discuss and solve the civic and other problems of various colonies in Nipania and Pipliyakumar localities, the fastest growing locality of the city.

As per the decision taken in the meeting, the demand for setting up a new police station for the convenience of the residents of Pipliyakumar and Nipania areas of Ward 36 and 37 would be raised before the competent authority. According to the residents, since presently the entire Nipania and Pipliya Kumar area comes under Lasudia police station, the entire responsibility of security of this area comes under Lasudia police station.

Due to the large working area of the police station, lack of resources and staff at the Lasudia police station, police jawans of Lasudia police station are burdened to take effective and proper care of the law and order situation in the locality. Keeping this in view, it was decided that along with Indore Police Commissioner, a demand would be made before the State Home Minister to set up a separate police station in Nipania area, as decided in the meeting.

The residents also expressed concern over the mushrooming of hostels and hotels in the area which are being constructed either under alleged or criminal-mafia nexus.

On the plea of residents, the Rahwasi Mahasangh decided to bring this matter before the authority concerned to curb illegal and unauthorized constructions of hotels and hostels in residential areas of Nipania and Pipliyakumar.

In the meeting, the residents also raised the issue of cemeteries near Advance Academy School and the BCM Paradize in Scheme no. 134 Keeping in view the religious sentiments of the people of the area  and the inconveniences being caused to them, they urged the Rahwaasi Mahaasangh to make a submission before the district administration for the shifting of these cemeteries far away from the locality which is not being inhabited by the people.

The meeting was attended by residents of various colonies of Nipania and Pipliyakumar falling under Ward 36 and 37, including Tulsi Nagar, Mahalaxmi Nagar, Sai Kripa Colony, MR 4, Chikitsak Nagar, Pushp Vihar Extension, Sun City, Apollo DB City, BCM Paradise, Pawan Dham, Amrit Palace, besides the office bearers of various resident associations of the locality.
