PROSE Technologies India today announced an investment of US$20 million as part of its 'Make in India' initiative. Under this scheme, the company plans to develop all Types of Base Station Antennas, Microwave Antennas, Filters for 4G/5G, Active DAS Products, Site Solutions, and O-RAN Radios. These products will be developed at its Pune facility, which is the fourth R&D centre after the ones in America, Australia and China. Operational since 2018, the Pune facility employs a total of 1,400 people. PROSE Technologies, through this fresh investment, is looking to double its manufacturing capacity.
Jaideep Redkar, President of PROSE Technologies, stated, “We are committed to 'Make in India', and are already producing several product lines from our wireless portfolio in our Pune plant, including the base station antennas which are essential for the RAN optic. This aligns with the company's mission to connect daily while adhering to the highest environmental, technological and quality standards. We believe that India will become the global base for manufacturing and are looking to scale up by almost two times in the next two to three years from our current levels in India."
