Penalty will have to be paid on the spot through POS: ADG Janardan

The police department is going to take all necessary steps to reduce the accidents. Additional Director General of Police (PTRI) G. Janardhan has informed that POS machines will be used to collect fine immediately from the drivers who do not follow the traffic rules. He informed that MoU has been signed with Bank of Maharashtra for effective action.

ADG Janardhan has informed that according to the MoU executed with Dr. Javed Q Mohanvi, Zonal Manager of Bank of Maharashtra, 300 POS machines have been received for 8 districts of Indore division and 4 districts of Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad) division total 12 districts.

He said that the violators of traffic rules would be fined by taking challan action on the spot with POS (Point of Sale) machines through debit cards, credit cards, RuPay, net banking etc. Janardhan said that soon virtual courts and physical courts would also be linked with the software.

ADG Janardhan informed that Vijay Kataria ADG (Welfare), D. Srinivasa Rao ADG (Administration), Anil Kumar ADG (Planning and Management), Deputy Zonal Manager of Bank of Maharashtra Ramesh Singh along with bank and police officials were present in the MoU signing programme held on Thursday.
