Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that ‘Madhya Pradesh is no longer a BIMARU state. The state’s growth rate (19.3pc) in 2021-22 was the highest in the country. The per capita income of the state at present is Rs one lakh 24 thousand. The contribution of Madhya Pradesh to GDP is 4.6 percent.
The state is steadily progressing in the field of export. Wheat of Madhya Pradesh, which has the reputation in the country of being gold grain, has increased manifold in its exports. Basmati rice of Madhya Pradesh Canada and America has established its new identity. Madhya Pradesh has set new records not only in the field of agriculture but also in the field of industry. Even during the Corona period, more than 650 industries have been registered, which have invested more than Rs 40 thousand crores during Covid-19 itself.
Industrial clusters are also being developed by the Micro, Small and Medium Department. We are moving ahead on the path of making Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh to fulfill the dream of Atmanirbhar Bharat of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi,.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing the participants present in MP Auto Show-2022 in Indore.
Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister Omprakash Saklecha, Member of Parliament Shri Shankar Lalwani, public representatives, officers and industrialists were present in the programme.
Chouhan said that the first auto-show of Madhya Pradesh would now be organized every year. He congratulated the Industries Department and Indore District Administration for organizing such a grand programme in such a short time. He said that the MP Auto Show will bring a new revolution in the direction of investment in Madhya Pradesh. Youth will get employment, economy will get momentum and Madhya Pradesh will get a big leap in building a self-reliant state.
He said that MP Auto-show is being organized on the mantra of Prime Minister Shri Modi of ‘Make in India’. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Indore is going to become not only the cleanest but greenest city in the country. Keeping in view the electric and green vehicles launched at the MP Auto-show, it can be said that the day is not far when Indore will set a new record for the use of e-vehicles.
Chouhan said that a new start-up policy will be issued by the government in the month of May to encourage industrial development and investment in Madhya Pradesh. Our youth have ideas full of innovation and financial assistance will be provided by the state government to give meaning to the ideas. With the start-up policy, a new environment will be created on the soil of Madhya Pradesh.
Madhya Pradesh is the heart of the country, it is centrally connected with the whole country. There is no shortage of availability of land in the state. During the Corona period, the pharma sector of Madhya Pradesh had supplied medicines across the country. Pithampur is our industrial hub, where more than two lakh people are getting employment. Single window system has been established in Madhya Pradesh, where industrial clearance is provided within 30 days. Efforts are being made to establish ‘Ease of Doing’ business with many policies to remove obstacles in the way of investment. Specific policies have been made for different sectors.
The Chief Minister said that by establishing coordination between the ITIs and industries established in the state, efforts would be made to provide skilled manpower as per the demand of the industries. This will create new employment opportunities.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Pithampur was called Detroit of the country. Now we should make efforts to ensure that whenever someone talks about automobile sector, they should say that this sector should be made like Pithampur. This auto-show is a new step in that direction.
Skill Development Academy to be established in Pithampur
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that Skill Development Academy is being established in Pithampur by CII Eicher. They are being assured by the state government that the necessary building and infrastructure for the establishment of the academy will be provided by the government, so that our youth can get better employment opportunities. He said that 2 acres of land in which the building is built has been identified for the establishment of this centre. This academy will be started as soon as possible. Technology collaboration will be done with Denmark, Sweden, Japan and Germany for capacity building of the youth undergoing training at the Academy. The Academy will be given a new identity as a Center of Excellence.
