A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Raja Ramanna Centre for Advanced Technology (RRCAT), Indore and Oriental University, Indore on May 24, 2022. Prof (Dr.) Dhruva Ghai, Pro Vice Chancellor, Oriental University and Dr Shankar V Nakhe, Director, RRCAT signed the MoU on behalf of their respective institutions.
The MoU was signed in presence of Shovan K Majumder, Chairman MoU Committee, RRCAT& Head, Laser Biomedical Applications Division, and Neetesh K Jain, Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy, Oriental University. Pradyumna Yadav, Registrar, Oriental University and several senior scientists from RRCAT were also present. MOU has been signed to facilitate PhD Students, post-doctoral Fellows, MTech/ MSc/ MPharma students of the university to pursue research/ projects at RRCAT in the advanced areas ofScience, Pharmaand Engineering.
MoU is expected to result in collaborative research activities in the areas of mutual interest of both the institutes. Besides, researchers from both institutes will be able to use the resources and expertise of both institutes, namely RRCAT and Oriental University, to conduct their research/ project work.
Director RRCAT in his welcome address highlighted the importance of such MoUs where students will benefit from the exposure to the advanced research facilities of the centre through the collaborative projects. Dr Ghai stressed that this MoU will be a 'win-win' situation for both the institutes.
