Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University for students keen on Sanskrit, says Haryana CM

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Saturday said that Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya is being constructed in Mundri village, especially for students who are keen to study the Sanskrit language and the University would not only prove to be a boon for the students studying Sanskrit but would also play a pivotal role in strengthening our cultural roots.

Addressing a gathering at a programme organized at Maharishi Valmiki Sanskrit University to be built in village Mundri, district Kaithal, he Congratulated the villagers on the commencement of construction work of this University and said that the students living in the nearby areas would be greatly benefited from the construction of this. Besides this, the students across the state would be able to hone their talent as per their interests. 

About Rs. 3.8 crore have been spent on the construction work of this University and classes have also been started for Sanskrit students in the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College. 

The Chief Minister directed the officers concerned to soon give a report regarding diverting the drain passing through the land of this University. He also visited the Lavkush temple and also offered prayers. He gave necessary directions related to the works of the pilgrimage to the officers concerned.

Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Kamlesh Dhanda, MP, Nayab Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Higher Education Department, Anand Mohan Sharan, Vice-Chancellor of the University Rajkumar Mittal and other dignitaries also remained present on this occasion.
