First Jharkhand National Science Film Festival organized at Lohardaga

The first Jharkhand National Science Film Festival was organized under the leadership of Science for Society at the local Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Auditorium located at Dr. Homi Jehangir Bhabha Complex Lohardaga . On the occasion of the 75th year of independence, the Amrit Mahotsav of independence and the 25th establishment year of Science for Society Lohardaga, on the occasion of silver jubilee year, it has been decided to bring science from village to village to the people living at the lower rungs of the society and to develop scientific attitude among the people.

 

The programme was inaugurated by jointly lighting the lamp by Deputy Commissioner Lohardaga, Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna, Dr. Ali Imam Khan, DNA Anand, Dr. Ganesh Prasad and District Education Officer, Lohardaga.

 

Expressing views on this occasion as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Lohardaga Dr. Waghmare Prasad Krishna told that Science for Society has organized such a programme, undoubtedly it is a commendable work. All the films shown in the festival are good, which need to be seen and taken advantage of. It will be beneficial especially for the children studying in the school. He directed the District Education Officer, Lohardaga from the stage itself, to motivate the children studying in the school to watch the film so that those children develop scientifically with scientific thinking so that they can play their role in nation building.

 

Expressing the view, Ali Imam Khan, President of the Society for Science, Jharkhand, said that this is a big campaign to encourage the inventive nature of science always. Investigate in people then creativity then change will come. State Secretary DNS Anand told that everyone does work under normal circumstances, even in adverse circumstances, Lohardaga has attracted everyone's attention by organizing the event and this team is worthy of congratulations for achieving this achievement. Dr. Ganesh Prasad, President Science for Society Lohardaga, while giving the welcome address, told that superstition has to be eradicated and consciousness has to be brought among the people.

 

Programme coordinator Arun Ram while conducting the movement informed that the programme is also being organized as the 25th year of Science for Society Lohardaga silver jubilee year. Boycott polybags, carry a bag from home, in view of the heat, many programs have been done including sikora distribution, tree plantation, mask distribution, awareness campaign, organizing state level Children's Science Congress, so that the birds get water, which has been appreciated by the people.

 

Programme Secretary Rahul Kumar, while giving the vote of thanks, said that today there are many evils in the society, superstitions are rooted in it only through scientific ideology, through logical discussions among the people, social change can be brought, Science for Society always for such works. Remains ready On this occasion, mainly District Education Officer Nirmala Barelia, Film Producer Siddharth Agarwal Shriram Dalton, Prabal Mahto, Kabir from Goa, Film Festival Coordinator Vikas Kumar Rajesh Ranjan of Hindalco Neeraj Kumar Ananya Vidya Mandir Managing Committee Chairman Shashidhar Agarwal Secretary Ajay Prasad Principal Vipin Kumar Das State Committee's Amar Kumar Rajendra Kumar Shishir Ghosh, Sanjay Burman Kineshwar Mahato, Dr. Aileen Dr. Shashi Gupta Dr. Prasenjit Mukherjee Professor Sneh Kumar Jitendra Mittal, Sudama Sahu, Dharmendra Prasad Soni, Praveen Kumar, Vijay Das, Jagatpal Kesari Alok Dignitaries including Kumar Manish Kumar, Gautam Lelein, CP Yadav, Deepak Sarraf, Kripa Shankar Prasad Singh were present.

 

In the program itself, the Deputy Commissioner congratulated Sauryam Raj, selected from ISRO as a young scientist, expressing his happiness on achieving world rank across the country and presented the letter received by him. The Society Unit on Science congratulates Shauryam Raj, Hyderabad Bangalore, Sriharikota, Sri Ananthapuram to learn the nuances of science from the scientists there by visiting important centers.
