Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will soon gift the flatted factory complex to Agra. It is for the first time in Uttar Pradesh that a flatted factory is being built. The factory complex to be built in Foundry Nagar, Agra, will be ready at a cost of about Rs 125 crore.
Yogi will lay the foundation stone of this flatted factory complex in the upcoming Shardiya Navratri. In this complex, 200 entrepreneurs will be able to set up their factories under one roof. The complex will come up on 21,500 sq m land.
According to an official communiqué, for UP’s first flatted factory complex, 21,500 square metres of land has been selected in the industrial area of Agra. This multi-storey building will have about 4 lakh square feet of construction area. It will have a total of four floors, including the ground floor. Each floor will have one lakh square feet of construction area. It will have nine lifts. As many as 200 entrepreneurs will be able to set up their units in this flatted factory complex.
The release further said that there would be complete arrangements for fire safety. The factory will be completely eco-friendly.
Vice-president of Uttar Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam Limited Rakesh Garg said that entrepreneurs can start their work as soon as they arrive at the flatted factory complex. They only have to plug in the machinery and start production. “Entrepreneurs need huge plots to set up industries. After that, permission has to be taken from several other departments. This effort has been made so that entrepreneurs can set up their factories without hassles and on a low budget. Along with this, the first flat factory complex of the state is being built in Agra with bank loan and all other facilities,” he added.
The factory site will be provided to the entrepreneurs at the actual cost price. In this flatted factory complex, preference will be given to new startup operators, including white category industries like garment industry. Under this, the garment industry will be developed. There is also enthusiasm among the garment entrepreneurs of Agra regarding this.
Ashok Maheshwari, general secretary of Agra Readymade Garments Sangathan, said the construction of this complex will save the time of both the manufacturer and the buyer.
