Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions for timely disposal of public problems, saying laxity will not be tolerated at any level in this regard. He has also directed officials to fix accountability for resolving the problems of the people at the earliest.
The chief minister was reviewing the works of various departments in a meeting convened at Lok Bhawan here on Wednesday.
He said that departmental presentations before the cabinet would be made only by the ministers concerned and departmental additional chief secretary/principal secretary would be present only for assistance.
The chief minister directed all the heads of departments to conduct surprise inspections of their subordinate offices.
“Check the status of cleanliness in the offices, status of files pending for disposal, status of disposal of public grievances, attendance of personnel and punctuality of the government employees,” Yogi said.
The chief minister said that the last two academic sessions had been affected due to novel coronavirus because of which physical education could not be imparted therefore, before the beginning of the upcoming session, it was necessary to give an impetus to 'School Chalo Abhiyan'. He said in consultation with the departmental minister, a detailed action plan should be prepared regarding the campaign.
“Not a single child should be deprived from going to school,” the chief minister said.
The chief minister said that in view of the transparency of the system and the convenience of the parents, arrangements had been made to send money directly to the bank accounts of parents for uniforms and bags of their children. He said it should be ensured that children came to school in the prescribed uniform.
Regarding agriculture, the chief minister said that the procurement of wheat in the state was starting from April 1 and it should be ensured that farmers do not face any problem at any purchasing centres. He said whether wheat was stored in godown or at the purchasing centre, adequate arrangements should be made for the safety of wheat everywhere.
“In every case, farmers should get the benefit of minimum support price (MSP). Wheat should be procured at all the purchasing centres with complete transparency. Farmers should not face any inconvenience in selling their produce. Farmers should be paid for their produce in a time bound manner,” Yogi told the officials.
The chief minister said that with the objective of giving incentives to the industrial units for investing in the state, incentives were being provided by the state government. HE said all such cases should be thoroughly reviewed and resolved as soon as possible.
