The people residing in MANIT have been living in fear for the past whole week after Tiger was spotted in the premises on October 2 by three students. The management, forest department came into action and movement was halted in the premises.
For the whole week students and staff were not allowed to roam in the campus with security guard and forest department on vigil across the premises but failed to catch Tiger while four cows were attacked during this time.

Tiger hunted a cow again on Monday morning. The staff staying at the campus rear cattle which are over 1000 roam across the campus. In such a situation, the teams of the Municipal Corporation also reached to catch the cows.
Forest officials adopted a 'wait and watch' strategy. Cages are kept at the places where the tiger moves to trap, which would be for 2-3 days and if it does not work the Tiger would be rescued.
