The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will build schools, hospitals and provide free electricity in Punjab after forming the government in the state, party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal said while addressing Nukkad Sabhas throughout Punjab and appealed people to vote for the party candidates.
Amid the roaring chants ‘Ek Mauka Kejriwal Nu’ and ‘Aam Aadmi Party Zindabad’, AAP National Convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal addressed a series of enthusiastic Nukkad Sabhas in seven different areas of Punjab on Thursday.
Kejriwal asked people to come together and vote for the party candidates to form a stable government in Punjab.
He also paid homage to Guru Nanak Dev at the roadshow in Dera Baba Nanak.
He appealed to the public to vote in large numbers and lead the AAP to victory.
While addressing the gathering, Kejriwal said “The elections begin on the 20th – everyone must be ready to cast their vote for the AAP. This time we have to come together and save Punjab from these corrupt governments. Everyone will together push the button with AAP’s election symbol, and not even mistakenly vote for any other party. All these parties have collectively robbed Punjab – BJP, Congress, Akali Dal – they all got together in order to plunder the state.
“We will provide an allowance of Rs 1000 to every woman in Punjab. The AAP will work in the interests of each and every community – be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, or from any caste or creed.”
“The AAP will build schools where children from all backgrounds will study together. We will also regularise contractual workers, and solve all grievances shared by the people of Punjab,” he added.
