A 50-year-old man died under suspicious circumstances after he fell from an under construction building opposite to Halalpur bus stand; family members have raised suspicion over death as no work of centering was going at the spot from which the deceased fell while working.
The deceased Jagdish Soni died after he fell from the second floor of the under construction building. He was rushed to hospital where he was referred to Hamidia hospital where he died during treatment.
Initial investigation revealed that Prashan Sarkar was contractor of the building and Jagdish used to work for centering work. He was smoking at the time of the incident and fell from the second floor.
The body was sent for the post mortem and a case was registered. Police said that cause of death would be investigated and it was caused due to negligence action would be taken against the culprit.
Family members have raised allegations that at the spot no centering work was going on where Jagdish died. The people at the spot told that he was smoking on the second floor where the badminton court and office was constructed, centering work was going on the same floor and he fell as there was no support at the end but there was no centering work at the spot.
Police should investigate the matter seriously as the people connected with the case are not providing correct information to them, claimed family of the deceased.
