The Ministry of Railways has planned to run 205 special trains to and from Puri during the upcoming Rath Yatra period for smooth travel and convenience of the pilgrims.
As the Car Festival was held without pilgrims since last two years due to the Covid-19 protocols, the Railways expects that much more pilgrims will gather at Puri this year.
Apart from this, East Coast Railway has taken steps to facilitate pilgrims with reserved class accommodation for the trains leaving from its jurisdiction towards Puri and vice-versa apart from the special trains from neighbouring States.
