Varun slams Centre over unemployment

Striking again at the Modi-Government on the "increasing joblessness" in the country, BJP MP Varun Gandhi on Friday drew attention to a "desperate  youth" in Haryana committing suicide due to the "non-recruitment" in Army for the "last three years".

The BJP MP who has been writing on the "rising unemployment" in the country sought to know from the present  dispensation as "when will the Government finally listen to the plea of these hard-working working youths."

"The overaging youth due to non occurrence  of army rally for recruitment for three years have gone desperate and despondent", tweeted the BJP parliamentarian  who has been urging the Government to fill up  vacancies in the government and "reduce unemployment" in the country.

The aspiring  armyman allegedly committed suicide due to not being able to join the army  in Bhiwani district in Haryana after he turned 23.

The MP who tagged a report along with his Hindi  tweet which said  that the youth had taken the pledge to serve the nation but could not get recruitment  in the Army and hanged himself "in the same field where he used to practice racing".

According to the  report, the youth in a letter to his father wrote,  “Bapu I could not become a soldier in this birth. If I can take my next birth, I will definitely become a soldier”.

Varun  quoted the deceased youth in his tweet  saying  " jis  maidan main Liya tha 'Rashtra seva ka sankap' vahi likhe antim sabd Babu is janam main to nahin ban saka, agla janam Liya to fauji zaroor banunga".

The BJP MP wrote on the Twitter handle that  youths  have become overaged for the army as recruitment has not been done for the last three years.

The BJP MP has been  frequently criticizing the  government for "not filling" lakhs of Government jobs even as joblessness has increased manifold in the country, he alleged in his writings.
